Lisa Olivia Munn was conceived in Oklahoma City. She was the daughter of Kimberly Schmid, lived in Vietnam, and is of Chinese heritage, while the father of her, Winston Barrett Munn, comes from a family that has deep roots in The American South. Olivia's parents divorced at the age of 2. She grew up with her mother, who worked with the United States Air Force, and also her stepfather. Olivia was primarily raised at Tokyo in Japan. Even though the family moved out of Oklahoma and to numerous other areas, it was it in Tokyo which she completed the bulk of her education. During this time she was a part of various local theater productions. Later, she became a model in the Japanese fashion business. Olivia was a model who been living with her parents in Los Angeles in order to achieve her dream of becoming an actor, continued to work towards that goal even after her family moved back to America. In the end, she was able to land a couple of tiny roles on television programs featuring Hawaii lense (such as Beyond the Break), she was cast in the show Mily Acuna, and was offered the job of Rob Schneider's receptionist on Big Stan. She is the host of G4's podcasts "The Daily Nut" along with "Formula D". After the television series Beyond the Break, she has continued to surf. Her black belt is in the martial art of taekwondo. In the year she turned two old, her mother got married again, this time to one from the US Air Force. Though the family relocating many times throughout her life, she was raised in Tokyo, Japan, where the military stationed her stepfather. She studied journalism at the University of Oklahoma and also studied Japanese as well as dramatic arts and acting.
