The tall and athletic Catherine Bell was born in London, England, but she moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was still in the midst of growing up. Though she was planning to study pre-medicine in college, she left to pursue a career as a model in Japan. After a brief stint in commercials after which she returned into Los Angeles to perform as a guest on TV and also to work on a couple of small-scale film roles. She was Isabella Rosellini's nude body-double in the film Death Becomes Her in 1992. This led the actress to get acquainted with her likely partner (Adam Deason) in the film's production.
