The tall and athletic Catherine Bell was born in London, England, but relocated into Los Angeles with her mother while she was an infant. Bell dropped out of university in order to pursue her career as a model in Japan, despite having intended to pursue a premed degree in college. Following a stint in commercials and then a move back to Los Angeles to appear on television as a guest and also to work on a couple of small-scale film roles.
